When you want to go to a particular country, it would be nice to know what to expect from it, which includes its cultures, traditions as well as its history. We all know for a fact that Russia is a very large country. Actually, a week of continuous travel aboard a train is still not enough to bring you half way.
Peter the Great is said to have formed Russia and it would not be as big today if it wasn’t for him. Based on Russian history, he conquered every territory found around Moscow. Russia started as a small country; it used to be called Muscovy. The areas that surround Moscow have become part of the country. The Mongols conquered Muscovy for more than one hundred years and from there, the country started to conquer other lands and expand its territories.
Russia turned into a communist country on the 20th century due to a corrupt monarchical government. However, the decision of making it into a communist country didn’t do any good, particularly during the leadership of Joseph Stalin. When he was in power, he slaughtered countless people regardless of sex and age. Because of this, people in Russia have decided to settle for a democratic form of government. After which, many Soviet Union-controlled companies started to break off and declared themselves independent – this truly was a taste of real freedom for the people of Russia.
Moscow always experience special treatment in Russia. The Russan capital city always gets the first taste of everything before any of its territories do. This is highly evident in the infrastructures and in the lifestyle of people.
From the moment Russia turned into a democratic country, a lot of changes took place. The Russian Mafia used to have so much power. In the late years of 1990s, less than 10% of the population were responsible enough to pay their taxes. But this all changed in the leadership of President Vladimir Putin. First, the Russian Mafia has somehow become significantly less powerful. The income of practically every average Russian household rose by 10%. The strict implementation of laws in the country has gradually turned to its advantage.
Russia today is a place where business is good and so are the people whom you transact business with. If you try to get to know more of the Russians, they are actually very hospitable and very friendly.
